Global Initiative for Empowerment (GIFE) conducted a community outreach program in Lango Baya, Malindi, aimed at improving the living conditions of underprivileged families through the distribution of new mattresses. Many households in the area face economic hardship and lack basic household necessities, making quality rest and health a daily challenge.

Through this initiative, vulnerable families—especially those with children and the elderly—received brand-new mattresses, helping to promote better sleep, improved health, and restored dignity. The program brought together community leaders, volunteers, and beneficiaries in a spirit of care and solidarity.

This impactful program was supported by Erne from the Netherlands, whose generosity made it possible for the mattresses to be purchased and distributed to the families who needed them most. The support helped transform lives by providing comfort, hope, and a sense of being valued within the community.
